The story behind this workout:

Jennifer Everingham innovated “Jennifer’s Yogalates Knysna” on the Garden Route in 2015.
Aware of how many people can’t join her classes because of knee injuries or the inability to get down and up off a mat easily, she created this DVD for people to exercise at home.

Jennifer’s Standing & Sitting Head to Toe Workout includes 65 minutes worth of exercises that improves the flexibility of your spine and the mobility of all your joints.
It strengthens and stretches your muscles, paying special attention to your core.

Working out with this DVD regularly, you will notice your breathing and balance are improved.
You will be aware of a feeling of well being, as you work into your body, releasing endorphins, the ‘feel good’ hormones.
What you will need:

A strong upright chair with arms
An inflatable ball or small cushion
A flexi-band, belt or even pantyhose.
Two light arm weights – mineral water bottles, cans of food

Tips to remember:
Your chair should be placed on a non slip surface.
Your exercise props should be close at hand.
Please take off your shoes.
Work at your own pace, within your comfortable range of movement.
If you can’t do the standing exercises, you can do the first part of the routine seated.
Standing feet work can be done seated. Repeat your feet exercises during balances.
Try and work out three times a week. You will feel and see the difference.

Remember
It is important to consult with your doctor before attempting new exercises. Find out what you should not do and then simply leave those exercises out.
